June 20
On June 20th, we went to the Strawberry Festival. It was a hot, hot day (again), but it was a lovely affair. A parade, carnival rides, craft booths and the most wonderful thing of all - fresh strawberry baked goods! (we had strawberry shortcake, and brought home cheesecake, jam and bread - yum!)

we have in the kitchen right now the most gorgeous strawberries and i was going to make a cake with them, but i keep slipping back in there to eat them out of hand... the photos are really terrific even if you have given up 365... which i did back in jan, but i keep saying i will take back up in november for a really big finish to the year
